What Are You Doing Right Now?

The thing is, one does have a reaction if you get a flu shot or any other shot that gives you a sore shoulder or arm, that's a normal reaction . I have always had a sore arm at the injection site from my shots, covid, flu, Pneumonia. Even though the Doctors say, its fine to have more than one shot at a time is ok.

Thats fine, but no thanks for me, I will take them spread out and I do. When you receive the vaccine your body goes into overdrive, my way of thinking is, i give a few months between shots. Let my body a bit of a break before I put it into action again. I just had the flu shot yesterday and my arm was fairly sore, just like the other shots. But personally I would not take two shots at one time let alone three.

Just my own personal opinion and observation from previous shots..

I get that Norm. I have friends and family that get nailed just taking one shot. But for whatever reason. My body just doesn’t react that way. Never has. Once my kids were out of grade school and into Jr. High and HS. I stopped getting sick. Those little germ incubators would bring junk home and spread the wealth. Once they got older and practiced a little better personal hygiene, just stopped getting sick.

Flu. I honestly don’t remember the last time I got sick with the flu. I’ve been prescribed pain pills where the pharmacist has told me to be near a sofa when you take one because you’ll be taking a nap. Never happens. Covid. I know without a doubt I’ve 100% been exposed directly twice. I did not get it. Cold medicines that knock people out. Again. Nope. Not me. I did stop doing caffeinated colas after a certain time. Wasn’t so much I can’t go to sleep. It’s that I’ll wake up at 2:00 am and can’t go back to sleep.

I can only speak for me. But in my case…. For me….. I’m a firm believer in hit it hard, do it quick, get it over. May not be the smartest way, but it seems to work fine for me.

I consider myself very fortunate so far, and hope it stays that way, I had my first flu shot last year as well, I have been very fortunate for years and years of not getting flu or anything else, but i don't take anything for granted, things can change very quickly.

Guy's like you Rick and myself in the older age group, our systems aren't ,lets say as vibrant as they once were. That's why I have started to take some of these shots that are available. Have you ever heard the stories of a guy you know , was never sick a day in his life, then suddenly he drops dead.

I remember hearing a few, it has always stayed in the back of my mind. We can be here today and gone tomorrow. Keep smiling and good health to all..:)

Exactly. Which is why I’ve done the Covid shots when I could. The science sure looked like it was a good idea and I went with it. And also like you…. Got my first flu shot last year and shingles shot this year. It was time. Odds start stacking up against us with each passing year.

As for the healthy guy…. Here one day gone the next. That one’s not age specific. Pass full physical with flying colors. Heart attack walking to the car.

Just got back from Walgreens. Two flu shots (seasonal and that pandemic one) and shingles (first one… go back first of year for 2nd one). Will let y'all know how things go.
Twenty-four hours later. Both shoulders a tad tender where I got stabbed. One feels a little like someone slugged me, but only if i lean against or rub it. Otherwise feel just fine. The usual old man aches, pains and joints popping when I piled my sorry butt oughta bed.... but that's about it.

Yeah, I got both shots in my left shoulder a couple of weeks ago, and it was more sore than previous experiences. I was kinda pooped out about 24hrs later as well...

I'd have to say feeling a bit tired as well..... but frankly not anymore than usual. Was just outside with the pooch throwing sticks and blowing leaves and that went just fine........ So ???

Its time fo my absolutely "favorite" activity:

I'm preparing my income tax statement - for 20121 which is overdue, because my tax accountant did not do her job.
All the stuff for 2022 will follow within the forthcoming weeks.

Was für ein blöder Mist...

Back when we ran the PRS Forums we used to have "Minister of XXXX" and it was fun coming up with something for that graduation.
It ended up that the new guy got to choose from the best suggestions, and I ended up as "Minister of Dave's not here".
I always mention be careful what you say. Folk know I like a certain Iron Butterfly Tune…. It is in my online name after all. And then I happened to mention Ferris Bueller. The rest is history. :pound-hand:

I'm thawing some fresh deer meat I just got back from my processor and am going to make some chili with it...... Come on lunch time!
Sounds awesome. Using deer burger or deer steaks for the chili? We started using beef steaks in our chili rather than ground years ago.... way better..... especially if I'm able to grill the steak before chopping into cubes. Which reminds me. I need to get started on the baked beans to go with grilled brats tonight.

I had this entire deer ground, minus slim Jim's and breakfast sausage. I like burgers just a bit more than steaks. I've still got lots of deer and elk steaks in the freezer.
Nothing wrong with that. I’ve been given deer in the past. Ground was probably better. And deer summer sausage is the best. If seasoned right, best summer sausage you can eat. If someone said…. Here’s 20 pounds of deer meat…. I’d probably do it all in summer sausage. Although now that I think about it. Brats could be good too.

My local guy makes a jalapeno/pepper jack summer sausage and I eat it until I'm sick, it's so good lol.
When I get elk I always have 10lbs of that made up.
