What Are You Doing Right Now?

Well. Our trip to Italy is getting real now. Just got this from our airline. This time tomorrow, we’ll be boarding for 9 enjoyable non stop hours to Rome. Then a short flight to Sardinia. And a rental car to get us to our rental home. Let the fun times begin.

Have a great time. I would move to Italy in a heartbeat. After so many years of busting my ass, Italian time was like a life saver the first time I went there. Get used to things moving slower. You will love it. Four hours for dinner, no problem. An hour to relax with a cappuccino and watch the world go by, perfect. I've never been to Sardinia, but everyone I know who have been there, love it. Send us lots of photos.

Today I got out with the 45/70 and hiked a few miles.
Then I decided to take the 4x4 Jeep trail down off the rim from Schnebly hill into Sedona.
That took a long time, and beat up my truck, my back, and my kidneys too!
Anyhow I grabbed a few pics in case anyone is interested.

Today I spent half the day under the Jeep.
(My son and I are resurrecting a 2001 grand Cherokee limited to turn it into hunting and fishing rig and to teach him how to turn a wrench.)

I replaced motor mounts today. What a pain in the arse! The new ones are just a hair offset, so you have to fight the dang things in a bind the whole time. Frustrating even with all the tricks I know.

Here's the only picture I took of one of them coming out.

Just installed granite countertops in the wife’s She Shed. These were pieces from our previous house where we did a kitchen remodel in 2016. I cut these 2 end pieces from the island top with a grinder. It was by far the messiest job I ever did. I tented the island in plastic and using a grinder with a respirator and goggles would cut for about 30 seconds and then exit the tent and let the dust settle. Took hours for each cut.

Looks really nice

Apparently not walking. Hiking a rocky path today and decide to crash and burn. And I’d already cleaned it up a bit when I took the photo.

What’s funny is. I had just stopped my 10 year old out control grandson from running all Willy nilly down the rocky path…. When I gave him a hands on demonstration why he should slow down. The things grandpas will do as a teaching moment for their grandkids. :pound-hand:
