Is it one of those R232 err whatever type watch batteries? That is simple enough to check. You know I do all this amp stuff but never stomp boxes or rack DSPs.

Not to change the subject but tell me about that Ampeg. Looks very similar to my Reverberocket R212R 50W combo. I just gigged mine a week ago on June 28. Sounded fecking fantastic.

No, but it can become one. There's a 3V battery in there a little like a squashed penlite if that makes sense.
You can replace it with a CR2023 or any other similar 3V coincell. A 2023 should last for many years, the smaller/slimmer ones (2021, etc) will work but simply yield less longevity. Personally, I'd remove the existing battery and install a little CR2023 socket but just a couple of wires would do the trick, too.
One thing to pay attention to is that these battery will often read OK or borderline (2.8-3V) or even a little better out of circuit. When testing them with a low impedence meter, the reading drops and the truth is revealed. If you don't have a low impedence meter, not a problem - those batteries are so old, one may safely assume it's had its best years.

That's great now I have a new, albeit small project, It would be awesome to get that GP8 working, I mainly used it for the delay and roll in the depth with the EV5 for holding notes with a bit of tremolo. You can really hear the room that way. This would also give me the chance to experiment with both DSP units via midi, Digitech has a pretty good chorus and reverb. I think I also have a Yamaha 90 DSP I can't remember the exact model name, old thing, it was made for vocal effects back in the 80s, I might take a look at it too for any battery replacements.

The chorus and delay on that unit were superb, there's a reason you used to see them in a LOT of racks back in the day. I have a a preset for the intro of Whatever You Want which is absolutely drenched in chorus and delay. I tried to replicate it when I thought I could 'upgrade' to the GX-700, but no... inspite of all the additional configuration options, I couldn't get it that 'fat' sounding. Result; I now use two rack units; the GX for the noise gate, easy configuration of various effects and so on, but for drive, delay, chorus and just as a clean boost, the GP-8 wins. Ultimately, the GP-8 is just 6 analog Boss pedals and two digital ones in one unit.
Some of the Yamaha gear from back then was quite OK, some not so. They're all in need of new batteries, but in the case of the Yamahas they were - I think - mainly just coincells. Easy swap. Also, the Yamaha kit will revert to the factory presets, the GP-8 will lose all patches when the battery is removed. You can then load them again via MIDI. I have the 'stock' patch file for that if you need.

Thanks! It's a 2015 "100th Anniversary Edition," meaning it has the weird scrawl "Tremor Signature" on the front of the headstock, a hologram of Les Paul's face on the back, and I believe that originally it had those stupid robot tuners (thankfully, removed by prior owner and regular keystones installed), and the weird metal zero fret. I'm not by nature a blueburst (Gibson name: "Manhattan Midnight") person, but she is purty.
PLUS, here's the real kicker. It was a fecking STEAL. Had a few dings on the edges, but nothing a Sharpie couldn't fix. AND it came with the 100th Annie gold "Jetsons" hardshell Gibson case that apparently was only for that year.

It’s just an empty 2x12 Combo Cab with two G12-H30 Anniversary speakers inside that I bought cheap.
It’s a nice solid plywood cabinet. It even had coasters installed. I only added a handle and fender corners.

Lovely! Mine is a 73 and I got it for the extra mojo I feel it has. I liked the cracked finish. Neck not bad, I prefer still thinner necks. First mini HB guitar for me.

All I really know about them is they had robot tuners, zero fret nut and a goofy looking LP signature. I'm just superficial enough to have not given them a second look because of the sig on the headstock looking so...off.

Well…I sadly don’t take very good pictures of my amps, and I hope that my amps of choice do not offend any sensibilities…
But I’m gonna recycle this pic, and point out the 2 amps nestled beside my recliner…
On the high side is a homebrew Valve Jr conversion to a 1974xSuperlite-ish TMB build from one of Terry Stingray’s guitaramplifierpcbs…I put together around 2010-11. Love it… very much. Not very “high gain” but I like my fuzz n stuff.
A bit lower, and to the left, sits a Phaez Duophonic, Corona and Daisycutter channels, with channel switching, 22 watts from 2x6V6 tubes. These have been my mainstay amps for a few years. The Phaez pushes 6x12 inch speakers, while the Superlite-ish pushes a full stack(8x12 inch speakers). I find them enjoyable.
