Those are GREAT combos and probably the most versatile amps ever, in my opinion of course .
Yah, mine came with a weber alnico and it sounded soooo good I found another and made a 2x10 cab. Great sounding speakers with that rig. Those are GREAT combos and probably the most versatile amps ever, in my opinion of course .
I have never built a amp kit only scratch builds with the best mil spec parts I could find 23 amps so farYes, the charges are also a guess - well, shipping can be calculated, but I was charged a couple of hundred for buying a storage server from the US once - they deemed it a stereo amplifier. Couldn't argue, coughed up. The 300 for the jackplug (YES, A FRIGGIN' JACK PLUG) was the biscuit, I'm being more careful now. If I understand you correctly, no import tariffs in the US currently then?
The thing is, I'd need "most" of the parts for the amp. Apart from some caps, resistors, pots and maybe valve sockets I'm missing most of it. If you can't order them as a kit, you end up paying a lot more, plus often I'd have to order from outside the EU (think Modulus, UK) and I get farked again. When ordering from the UK, about 50% of the time stuff actually gets here and about half of those instances come with a hefty import tax for a fictiously generated value.
I wouldn't kick myself for buying or building a clone, but I would kick myself for that if it worked out more expensive than the real deal, you know?
Yes I live in TN. I looked up the email I got from UPS. It was an import fee and I was wrong about the $50.Did they promise you a part in a movie that you would be “just right for”
Were there midgets involved, or a clown undressing in the hall?
Did they at least buy you dinner?
I bought quite a few things from Ceriatone but no extra charges, just shipping.
Don’t you live in the USA?
Where did the pup’s come from? I thought they were made in the USA. Maybe Nik pays the fees and doesn’t say anything about them. I have bought about 6 amps and a pedal from them, but never got an extra charge. It’s also funny UPS would be collecting fees. Between all the fees and taxes you have to pay now, to people that have nothing to do with it, it’s getting ridiculous.Yes I live in TN. I looked up the email I got from UPS. That would do it.They were received by carrier in Bodmin, United Kingdom. That's the first time I've ever had to pay an import fee. There was no import fee when I ordered my last set of BKs, but that was a few years ago.
When was the last one?I have bought about 6 amps and a pedal from them, but never got an extra charge.
