Reading through this thread and I look down at my board and literally the most important pedal on it is by far the least expensive: A Boss DS-1. It's the black 40th Anniversary one so it looks cooler than the regular orange ones but it's just a plain, stock DS-1. And I couldn't live without it.

The chorus is always on, 100% of the time. I find that it adds a definition and sonic character that I cannot get with EQ settings alone.

I should noodle with mjne. Still subtley I don't really want to hear tha modulation as such all the time.

Small Board:
(yeah I do keep the BD-2w's gain dimed: the FET gain stages react to the guitar volume knob just like an amp)
Big Board:
The FS-5L switches between the Blues Driver and Angry Charlie modes in the Angry Driver.
I have other pedals that get changed out on these depending on what I am doing, mostly I trade out a fuzz for the DS-1 when I need it and sometimes a Tube Screamer or SD-1 goes in, and when I use them with the Mesa the delays go through the loop - they are both configured for my Princeton Reverb right now.
Like Robert I keep the chorus on probably a majority of the time. Not all the time but a lot - with lower settings it just seems to make the tone separate slightly in the mix and sound a bit more distinct.

My MXR EVH Phase 90 is back on my pedalboard again today.
I used to have his flanger as well but sold it to a pawn shop for $100 last year

Try running it before your dirt to smooth it out more, when it gets distorted it smooth's it out some.

I will do some playing around! My dirt comes from the amp and I run a multi fx in the loop. After the dirt sadly. Thats where chorus comes in. Reverb, hard delay, acoustic sim etc. Personally, I would have liked to hear VH1 without a phaser in every single solo.Don O that was a joking

Really late to the party! Hope everyone is well! I got this mess going on. I have since bought another isolated power supply and am saving for a programmable switcher so I can create different patches.
I hope to drop by here a bit more often but I never have much worthwhile to add to the conversation lately.
