Monster armadillo eggs going on soon.
These things are huge, I think they're more like dinosaur eggs...

All full of awesomenes!

Ahh yes

DANG! The smoke ring on those ribs is textbook, McBlink! Made me hungry... and it's only 10 am...
What did you season / complement the ground meat in the eggs? I'm thinking of making some myself up here...DANG! The smoke ring on those ribs is textbook, McBlink! Made me hungry... and it's only 10 am...![]()
Well, I have to say, that makes me feel a lot better about you. LOLNot sure how Dog got in there. Unless I was typing HOT Dog and the Hot never appeared. Or I was just being Off the wall,,,,,,,,, for effect.
I'm not exactly sure, it's a sausage made by a guy who lives nearby, and LRT always buys some from him. Any sausage will do,as long as you can encapsulate your stuffed peppers in it.What did you season / complement the ground meat in the eggs? I'm thinking of making some myself up here...
That is @LRT in the picture, my beer gut easily eclipses his lolThanks, mcblink! I'll give em a try soon. One more question: That big barrel smoker (or looks like one) that's behind you in the picture that shows all your BBQ hardware, is that some brand or did you make it?

Yeah there's a propane grill on the left side, offset smoker on the right side.Actually looks like its two of em side by side...
Or maybe you are referencing that half of a 55 gallon drum with the fire in it? That's just an old rusty drum to contain the fire, redneck firepit lolThanks, mcblink! I'll give em a try soon. No, that I could ID right away... Works well in a pinch for roasting stuff, though!Or maybe you are referencing that half of a 55 gallon drum with the fire in it? That's just an old rusty drum to contain the fire, redneck firepit lol
Now THIS is the kind of smoker I've wanted to get my hands on for a long time! Thick gauge steel, perfect size, sturdy as a tank and a great smokestack... plus the built-in wraparound shelf. Dammit! You dont get those up here. Not easily, at least. That is @LRT in the picture, my beer gut easily eclipses his lol
Both the smokers are Char-Griller brand. He got his new a month or two ago, I grabbed up the other one on the cheap from a guy that is moving out of state soon. This might be a better pic

My dad has a great big reverse-flow smoker he built from old tanks, looks like this:

Since these pics, my dad also built a another big cooking box that sits right about where the smokestack is, last weekend he successfully fed pork butt to over 400 men at a function that their church put on. 400 dudes! He was nervous, but said everything went great!
On another note, LRT and I have been seriously considering putting together a team and entering some competitions, just for fun.
