Western Electric to the rescue! They’re gonna make more tubes.

So Robert,
what "is" Fender going to do with tube amp production?
Have you heard anything?
Just about All the tubes they were using in new amps production were Soviet tubes, under the FMC Groove Tubes label...

Are they just going to start using JJ (like Mesa does)?
Are they switching over to China tubes? (Groove Tubes already has China tubes but did not use them in new Fender amplifiers)
Groove Tubes only sold the China tubes in retail stores.

Or, is Fender putting new tube amp production on hold? Pending a review of substitute suppliers.

I've posed these questions to the amp gods on Mt. Olympus.

Interesting all the hysteria over tube supplies.

I gigged with (2) Marshall DSL40C's for 2-1/2 years, 5 nights a week (and some weekends) and never had to replace a tube.

I think this situation is similar to the hysteria over toilet paper hoarding...
Totally agree. I used to run my JCM900 at 8+ volume for 5-6 hours a day, 5 days a week for years and never once had a tube issue. Also, never pooped enough to need to clean a store out of toilet paper, but other people seem to have a different experience...

Fender uses Groove Tubes bearing both a GT and a Fender logo, as shown in this photo snapped today.

Sources say the supply is so vast, that no concern is given to current events with regards to amplifier production.
