Weller Soldering Station: ONLY PAY FOR SHIPPING

The weller solder irons are nice - I use the same station a lot - along with a set 60 watt weller station and a big ole 200 plus watt'er for chassis (the 200 watt plus is over kill - but it will sure solder a chassis easy enough - lol).

A beautiful Weller soldering station was tied to my gate when I got home from lunch with pops yesterday.
Thanks so much Sysco, It's beautiful.
Looks like new and was packed with care.

Also included were two beer bottle caps. Evidence of a nefarious act no doubt.
I'm thinking that there were two bottles of fine ale with the package, and the postal inspector enjoyed the "post" inspection treat. :pound-hand:

Really brings me into the space age as I was still heating irons in open fires to solder on my projects.
Well, OK I wasn't quite that bad off, but this is a huge improvement over my multiple single temp irons.
As a bonus, my old 45 watt iron uses the same tips and I had just bought a bag of em.

I think I'll rip something apart just to try it out.

Thanks again Sysco!

Hack, show Adrian how to s sss ssss with his new iron he got in the box of goodies that made its way around the country.
You can lead a horse to water, but if he don't want to solder, he won't.
I might have to address the sensual part where the solder flows & puddles.
With color along crayons & pictures I may have a chance. o_O

Hack, I do think he accepted the iron. He mentioned maybe the old cheapy one he had used prior, maybe wasn't up to snuff and he might have better luck with a new one.

I had little to no experience soldering electrical things and struggled a tad with bscks of pots. Some real nice YouTube vids and use of flux and good solder and soldering iron/station made a world of difference in my success and nice connections on pot backs.
