Well boys and girls...

I'm a little bit apprehensive about the stitches being removed, on the one hand, I'm guessing it will feel great to have these things out of my flesh, on the other hand, my knee/leg is still very much tender and I'm afraid that it's gonna hurt a bit.
I had a pile of stitches taken out of my face when I was like 7 years old... totally expected it to hurt but it actually tickled... YMMV.

I'm hoping this might be the case.
I do have some significant nerve damage from the incisions, and a good portion of my skin is actually quite numb, so I'm hoping that maybe I won't feel anything at all....but the numbness is also somewhat disturbing.

I used to suffer classic migraine, where I would experience blindness before the headache and nausea, the numbness in my leg reminds me a lot of that. Pretty weird lol
But it may work out to my advantage in this instance. Hopefully.

Hang tough as you have bro.. this is a bigger deal than I have ever faced.. and you my friend have it in mirror now. The hard part is still ahead of you, but it will never break your spirits..

Yeah, I tore a hole in my cheek running full blast into a table (was looking over my shoulder and turned around about 2" before hitting the table corner). They fishooked my face back together with no pain killer so, at that age it was the worst pain I'd ever felt. When the time came to take em back out, I literally considered running away from home to avoid it. lol

I've also gotten migraines my entire life, but didn't start getting the blindness til the last 15 or so years... so, I totally get what you're saying. #suck Hopefully, the anxiety is worse than the experience.

Those look like parts I made back when I was doing prototype machine work for different types of trauma. Mostly spinal stuff. But I never really knew what was coming across my bench back then.
That sounds interesting as heck!

I tried to again get a rod from my leg that they used in the first surgery/external fixation today, and again I was declined. Bastards! I feel like I earned that souvenir!

True Story, Bdon and SgJohn

I think I just got a flashback too.

I can still feel the tickle of my prickly hairs falling off my bangs and into my face with each snip of the barber scissors plus that infectious sound coming from his transistor radio. That unmistakable blend of Blackmore and Roger Glover's slick arrangements hooked me forever.

I am visualizing tasting a Lemon Yellow Lollipop as I type this. If I could flash back to my likely choice at 8 years old though, I bet I picked a Deep Purple one.

Well, if they won't let you have it, then they owe you a refund, since I'd bet they charged you/your insurance the price of a new car for that thing...

Not just any new car either....we're talking new Porsche 911 turbo territory...and I'm sure as this drags out I might even be getting into McLaren territory lol!

I signed up for the MyChart thing a lot of health-care providers are doing now, and I can see all kinds of different information in there, including the billing stuff. I only peeked once so far. The numbers are sickening. So glad for insurance, these bills are the kind that can bury people!
