Almost all of my studio side work is associated with the requisite non-disclosure agreements. This weekend, we were pretty busy on several side projects - a couple of TV and radio commercials - and some contract demo work for local bands/vocalists. One that I particularly enjoyed was a request for a cut of Aldo Nova's 'Fantasy' that we did for a local group's demo. I just cut the solo section out of the master recording prior to mixdown.
The first file is me on bass, rhythm guitar and lead guitar. The second file is after we added the drum tracks. This is only about 40 seconds worth of the track and it's pre-mixing/mastering, so the volume levels are not balanced well. I kinda put my own twist on the solo, but left enough there that it's recognizable.
Rhythm is played on my 1987 Stratocaster (500T/496R Out-Of-Phase) solo is played on my 2016 Gibson SG (57 Classic Plus & Gibson Burstbucker Pro Out-Of-Phase) both in the middle position, volumes full up and tone controls at '5' on both guitars.
Guitar and bass only:
Fantasy - Guitar Solo - Bass and Guitars Only
After drums added:
Fantasy - Guitar Solo With Drums Added
