We all new this was coming

I haven't been in one of the places since 1991 when I needed to decorate a new house real cheap, which was the last time I was in need of "Dorm-Room Chic." Had no idea they were still around either.
 
Surprised it took this long----Amazon is slaughtering retail----

I have bid 3 NEW MULTI THOUSAND (I mean MANY MANY millions of sq fr) of AMazon distribution hubs RIGHT HERE within an hour drive of me and there are all ready 6 I know of running ---within an hour drive of me-- and our crew has been working 2 weeks on the Lakeland Airport "hub drop" for Amazon -----the "distribution" hubs hold 1500 VANS and they are final jump off points to home delivery --- they literally CAN NOT BUILD facilities fast enough--
the Airport hub (small 200,000 sft ) -- is 2 miles from a 1.2 million Sq. Ft warehouse (which is now one of their smaller ones in the area)
The Lakeland Airport revised flight patterns--- and ADDED A RUNWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! for this building and to expedite inbounds---

If you have never been near an amazon HUB when the vans are pouring out (in waves 2-3 times a day) you have not seen the shear MASS of this company ---its truly mind blowing

Retail stores are going the way of Pay phones and NEwspapers ---- but fear not Norm---- all them folks that got let go from Pier one can get a job at AMazon driving a grey van --- or loading them --- they are hiring ---- LIKE CRAZY-----

ANd that is JUST what I know about they are doing this across the country!
 
here ya go--- this is one of the SMALL facilities ive recently bid --doing JUST THE ASPHALT PAINT AND TRAFFIC SIGNS (roughly $185,000.00 JUST for that! imagine what the building cost......)

1500 VAN STALLS ---employee parking its an actual HUMAN BEEHIVE of activity when complete---

I know how some feel about amazon -- -but I damn sure hope I win the BID!!!!!!!!! or one of the others-- IF I won all of them -- our company would have a serious issue----we couldnt do it all

They are building one of those Amazon Hubs right here in my town. Jobs are being advertised right now. And... we have a Pier 1...so they can all go work at Amazon now!

Me too! They have a place on the web page where you can look at every dime you've spent since you joined.

I'm close to $100K for sure. Last time I looked was nearly two years ago and I was a little over $68K

I don't really want to know any more...

Just had 80 rolls of Scott TP delivered yesterday. I’m not going to wait in any Costco line. :cool:
I assume you have their credit card too that gives you 5% back....
