He Is certainly one of the most melodic rock guitarists out there. You can hum his solos.
A while back some friends and I were dabbling with a early Pink Floyd "tribute " project. I was in the Gilmour seat. I remarked that I have been playing for over 30 years and was having a hard time copying a guy who was in his twenties when he recorded those songs!
Hs solos sound so natural but they sure are unnatural to my abilities!
