Was Mayberry so peaceful and quiet because nobody was married??
Andy, Aunt Bea, Barney, Floyd, Howard, Goober, Gomer, Sam, Earnest T Bass, Helen, Thelma Lou, Clara and, of course, Opie were all single.
The only married person was Otis ... and he stayed drunk. lol

I loved that show! In fact, all my dogs have been named after characters from Mayberry. Andy, Opie, Barney, Floyd, Ellie, Bea, and my new guy, Otis.

Barney "The Beast" Fife is a legend in the law enforcement community. I mean who else is so bad that they carry only one round, and in their pocket no less?

All thats because they lived in a Free-Love black and white age (they just didn't show that on TV); similar to earlier Ice Ages on Earth.
AT the end of the last BW Age, the values of marriage and the traditional family became relevant again.
And the ebb and flow continues today, though some argue over whether it is natural or man-made, or a combination phenomenon.

I always wanted to spank Aunt Bea with a riding crop; I like her voice when she yells.
