I cannot understand how anyone could find a Tele comfortable. That comment was impossible to relate to.

You gotta have them cut for comfort. My Teles are all shaped like this..

I feel that statement. I've tried maybe a half dozen times to get along with Teles and have never found the love. Really a lot of wasted money because I was kind of doing that "definition of insanity" thing, where I knew I didn't like them but kept trying to because everyone kept telling me how great they are.

I agree totally. I absolutely love my Telecasters, and always will. They can do anything, but...

This is one also of my favorite guitars. Most would think it's a metal/shredder guitar, but I use it for everything (and I mostly play bluesy and classic rock sorta stuff) because it just sounds and plays great no matter what I'm playing.

I hope I come across funny in this, but also, make OUR point well.

Maybe it will go back to a time before I was old enough to understand not only the humor in this statement, but the understanding came when I got old enough to start seeing friends of mine who got married and had wives of their own, all the while me being a single free man till I was almost 50.

My point is, we all have different tastes, different wives, fiancee's, girlfriends and it is likely none of us would be able to say the wife of any of our other TTR brothers would be a good fit for us.

In this respect, our guitars are much the same.

I find them very comfortable compared to a Les Paul.

Les Paul feels ok to me...

And Teles feel ok to me. LP's are ass heavy. I find Teles to be better balanced. I've never found Teles to be uncomfortable. Body contours are not a necessity IMHO.
