Warmoth Body & Neck Build… Black Cherry

Have you done this yet? The trick is to use a slightly larger bit than you need for the actual hole. Put the drill in reverse and drill thru the finish backwards, it'll keep it from chipping out. Then switch to the smaller bit and drill your hole.
Not yet! But I like your trick info, and it’ll give me more confidence with the drilling process. Thanks, DirtySteve… (y)

Moving on... Slowly... Today's progress involved strap buttons, Schaller 475 bridge, bridge ground wire, and a set of Bill And Becky Wilde Pickups (Bill Lawrence).
Found a neat trick at Youtube on centering the pickup with a deck of playing cards in preperation for wood mounting a pickup:

Won't see the new tuners for a few more days, so I went redneck! That's some 15 lb test, .015 monofilament that seems to be aligning up perfectly!

I've never bothered looking into those until the recent GAS to put together some nice quality products from Warmoth. I wanted to try something different.

For you F'n shredders out there that haven't heard yet, the Bill Lawrence L500XL was a huge part of Dimebag Darrel's vibe... :jammer:
I played the 500s in my Nunos (early Washburn N2 guitars) throughout the 90s…good stuff! :dood:
