Wanted Jethro Rockers 70's Deluxe Gold Top

Well, I do get articulation with many of my others, amp settings dependent. I would have to change gain on amp at minimum every time I used that axe because of the nature of the low output on those PUps.
I can set an amp how I like, strum any guitar and get a heavy long lasting sustained distortion. Play that and it may fade out to cleaner relatively quickly which is not my thing.
I do not cover songs as they sound, I set my own thing and do it.
That said there are some songs that require less balls than others and this would suit, if I have more output than required seems easier to back off gain than to have to goose it all the time.
Will see what new PUp sounds like. I already got it so might as well use it.
Ace Frehley started on a 73 Deluxe and promptly put full size HB in. Different strokes...
I was not commenting or critiquing your tone, style,or playing at all good sir! You are awesome.! Everyone wants/needs different gear to do what they do. My way of thinking is that I like different guitars to do various sounds. Sometimes I want a low output kinda thang. YMMV I certainly was not taking a shot at ya or your music bro!!

Oh I get that. Sorry if I came across that way, I didn't mean to!
Different guitars for different sounds indeed! Even with hotter output these will sound unique for my arsenal.
But low output never appealed to me. I have coil taps on a few of my guitars as required and can still use full HB too. Versatile. The Godins also have a piezo in bridge for extremely convincing acoustic sounds.
So this guitar will have less output and more high end than others but I do not want it to be anemic. I want to be able to adjust amp gain to get different ish tones and not be crippled by a very low output guitar.

The example above has too much high end, partly FOH and partly the camcorder mic. On stage sounded heavier.

It sounds great to me, plus hell at least your out and about playing, I certainly am not!
