VOX VT20X

I let the Beatemania guitarist use my VT-120 sounded fine. I'm into trying the new technology I have a Hotone Ampero on back order and if it sucks
I have a buyer. Next step AX EFX-3 with the load box and midi controller then I can clone all my amps. My main amp is a VOX EF86 AC-15 with a Marshall Plexi channel
two the Vox channel kills it. Don't get me wrong I'm into light weight amps.

Just to be clear Im NOT saying the models are DEAD on---
NO a 179.00 vox doesnt sound exactly like a Dumble ---
or a Diesel
or a MESA or even a Solid state Marshall 8020---(I tried for over an hour to get them to "match up" -- they dont)
for that matter side by side-- the VOX does a "rendition" of MESA but TBF its 179 tech Vs 1000.00 tech.
they are different tools -- you dont take a knife to a gun fight-- you dont dig holes for posts with a flathead screwdrive----

it does give the "vibe" or feel of the high dollar amps-- in the hands of newbs -- or old farts like me who just wanna play around with tones----the "named" models -- Like the American Idiot" tone --- "the cliffs of Dover" tones the SRV tone --- those are AMAZINGLY good -- compared to the tones that come out of my music listening devices-- (again not exact but close enough to go HEY that SOUNDS like GReen Day)----

would I GIG professionally with the Vox-- most likely not-- maybe the 100 watter
would I gig with a 23,000.00 Dumble --- HELL NO-- Ide be afraid to get shot stabbed robbed or worse have some A$$HAT dump a pitcher of beer on it or accidentally knock a chair into the speaker---- no-- no---no way-- -nope--

Both applications are better suited to a PEAVEY BANDIT BUWAHAHAHAH or a Mrshall Valvestate!!

I am curious to hear your review of the AMpero .....and to see if it sticks around

RVA seems to be enjoying the Quilter ---- good things come in small boxes

To be honest I don't use a practice amp I learn my parts unplugged And if you can find me a real Dumble for $23,000.00 I will buy them all
The one I have sold for $70,000.00 in 2012 why my fathers friend gave it to me I will never know ??? And the guitar that was with it holy smokes.

 my brain hurts

here is a dumble modded fender or 2
Dumble modded Fender Brown Deluxe 1962

Dumble Bassman ultra phonic 96-97 black/silver

Im sorry its just an amp its not the holy damn grail --- thousands of musicians have made wonderful albums and music we all know and love WITHOUT a dumble....personally-- Im not impressed w/ the dumble worship--- however if I find one at an estate sale here in the swamp for 100.00 ----I'll be sure I make a SHITE ton OF PROFIT off it ;)

I have not heard many of them fancy amps, but I like the sounds coming outa my little 20, that’s what matters to me

Someone is coming to pickup my Mustang 2 in an hour, I tried it, reset back all the settings and played it a little, ugh, I don’t like anymore lol, is so harsh takes forever to set up any usable tone, and I really liked that amp before I got a VoX VT30 and the VTX
