VOX VT20X

I can see me donating it and a guitar to a young teen. I gotta find a local charity/music support group to do this starting this Christmas. I think it was Kerry that has been doing this and it just struck me as a good thing to do, giving to some young talented kid that can’t afford nice gear. I have 2 guitars and one amp set aside for this so far. Gonna make it a complete kit with a cable, set of strings, gig bag, tuner and some picks.

This is very cool!
I’ve done similar, though not through a “charitable organization”...more through my working with the public...and some involved with the local school systems.

Com here little girl you want to be on the internet.???...YA! --- let me look at you from behind while you play with my amp-- YA!!! ---
creepy--
not saying he is WRONG -0- just creepy lol I mean JEEZ guy dont VIDEO it!!! I mean if that girls goes missing he is the first one the cops will come for

I think he thought she would be oh my how amazing it’s so much better than my Fender, but really, she had no clue about tone and just wanted distorted sounds which would be easily had on a 15w two button practice amp :(

NIce! and Congrats to all who are newly ensconced in VOX small modeling amps!

Way too many buttons and knobs for me.
I know I would spend way too much time fooling with it.
I do that now with just simple amps and some pedals.

I would REALLY like to try a vintage style VOX; I am doing a MUsic of the Beatles free Coursera course, and am actually sticking with it.

I just had an hour at a higher volume with it on the settings I picked, it is easy to adjust the effect settings on the fly, on the saved programs. Dial in more OD or swell the Vol/gain to get to a break up point, it’s very user oriented. I have 8 settings that now cover most of what we play, plus anything else can be a bonus.

My Mustang 2 is not like this, that needs much more effort IMO. Changing a saved setting on that is not as intuitive

I really liked the Mustangs-- but there are some limits on the AMP-- on the software as I recall you can have multiple pre and post amp effects---but in REAL WORLD function I never could get that to work when NOT hooked to the interwebs.....I guess the idea was build the "patch" then store it---- but DONT expect to change it if you change locations-- or outside influences (drummers bass players with thousand watt amps etc) because you cant--- and will "F" it all up if you try! lol
the inclusion of a tube (actual tube) and the features offered by VOX seem the next evolution of the Modeling amps (for low end folks) --of course the Kempers and all those are going to continue to evolve as well. .......but I cant justify a Kemper for a few hours of dicking about on guitars each week....

Cant wait to take a crack at it this week----- I have relocated my air filter and the VOX Ba50 bass amp is boxed and ready to go to its new owner--- space is cleared..........come on UPS!!!!
