Hey guys,
I have a 2003 Vox AC30 TBX with the standard compliment of buzzing issues. It hums/buzzes at low or NO volume, with or without a guitar plugged in, and it starts to go away as I raise the volume on the amp, but then gets way louder towards the top end.
I'm pretty sure it's a "lead dress" issue, and I've read the very short technical article that exists on how to address it, but I can't seem to actually have an effect on it. Has anyone had and resolved this issue?
Here's the few things I've done to it so far:
I replaced all the EL84 power tubes with a matched set of JJ's - No change.
I swapped the 12AX7's around - No change.
I pulled all but the two 12AX7's needed for the normal channel - No change.
I changed out the power cord - No change.
Then I attempted to hunt for the "lead dress" issue - No result.
