Vintage and Modern Fender Amp - Which is Which?

His comments on using cheaper components and PCBs in the modern one showing that its all about production and profit don't really hold water.
Fender was and still is a "for profit" company. I'm positive that in 1967 they used every cost cutting measure they could at the time. They also used whatever technology, production methods, and components were available in 1967. The values of components make way more difference than the cost or age. If one amp has way more bass than the other, it probably has different values for the components in the tone stack which would've been a design decision, so turn the bass down dumb ass!!!

ty tone on the modern amp? If there are tone controls on the amp, use them!
