Video had 10 Billion Views...but there is only 7.5 billion people on earth.

After another view, I feel compelled to offer an additinal critique.

In one sense, the song is commendable.

To be honest, I was expecting an unrealistic presentation which would portray the shark as some sort of friendly creature with which a cartoon child might play. However, the missive portrayed the Baby Shark and his family as predators which hunt and from whom it is best to hide. While being presented in a typical family is, perhaps, an expected and cliche bit of anthropomorphism, the depiction as predator is an unexpected - and refreshing - touch of realism.

One might contrast this with Barney, the Dinosaur. Whereas it goes without saying that encouraging an attitude of love among children is admirable, using a caricatured Tyrannosaurus Rex to express the idea is disappointingly unrealistic. While there were certainly some species of land-dwelling, predatory dinosaurs which were larger, the Tyrannosaurus Rex was still quite fearsome. No amount of singing and sense of good will would have changed that.

So, points to “Baby Shark”!

Baby Shark video has earned $125 million on YouTube alone AND pissed off probably millions of people who probably think they can do better, but never will.

Can U say WINNING?!!

I wonder if the video creators had to pay the song creator... as I understand it, it's a cover.

What this means is: you have no chance of escaping this.
Eventually, everybody on earth will be exposed.
I too have been exposed too this torture. My 1 year old grandson watches these kind of shows. Mrs Wav and I have spent the day babysitting and he can watch the same show everyday, day after day.

Now you can better understand why I am in favor of the beer-based economy.

personally I like Reggae Shark better
Yes Reggae shark has a much more likeable and complex personality, and much less doo doo doo doo doo doo. But let's be realistic, even reggae shark could not spark that within his own aquatic environment.
Metal headbanger shark has undoubtedly broad appeal to many of TTR members.

I actually knew this "person" who built an underwater bong that attached to the inflation hose on a dive rig...it was most amusing, quite clever. I don't think I ever tested it any deeper than 20 feet.
Every time it needed to be re-loaded, required surfacing. The problem of re-loading while submerged has unfortunately yet to be addressed. :pound-hand: But have faith in science, it will be solved.
