Oh man. That tears me up. So sorry to hear of this. Seems worse to me somehow when it was someone else's fault and preventable.
Our deepest sympathy.

I know right, our relative got hit by a drunk driver and killed 2 kids ( both under 10y) on the spot and their father is still disabled from the accident. what makes it worse is that they were walking on the sidewalk and they weren't in a car.
I was very young when it happened but still remember the funeral and how devastated all were by this.
