Adrian, does that mean that Gibson uses different variations of the P90 on their guitar? The (soap bar) P90 of my SG do have pole screws, and they do sound great.


AFAIK, Guitar Fetish pickups are also made by ARTEC. I have tried the double lipsticks - like them very much but they could be louder and a bit more aggressive. Comparison against my Thunderbuckers made by David Barfuss (Thunderbuckers and Double lipsticks are internally nearly identical). Also tried their MM bass pickup. Found it OK, but the Harry Häussel MM style pickup is a lot better.

yes-- they did -- for some reason -- use a different P90 on the Les Paul Jr 100 series -- -cant really find an answer to WHY

I believe Robert Herndon has tried some Artec pups before.

When I was building the Von Herndon twin-humbucker Teles, I used Artec Giovanni Series GVH-59 pickups with really excellent results.
