It’s wired like a headphone jack..dunno how that’s gonna work out…It says stereo on it, but the out is a mono 1/4" trs so I think they were being a little optimistic, unless the cable was changed at some point.

Thank you for taking the time to help me!You may just be in sole possession of the key to recording ecstasy!
well the ART inputs are dual trs and mic style jacksIt’s wired like a headphone jack..dunno how that’s gonna work out…
Yep….worst you’ll get is a mono mic signal. It may require a little (lot) of gain from the preamp. We shall see! I’m really looking forward to this!well the ART inputs are dual trs and mic style jacks
This was done on an iPad 2, using no external mic’s. On a phone, these days, it’s more difficult to monitor without a headphone jack.So is there software to actually allow MT recording directly using phone mic? That would be cool.
Cool! With an adapter one can headphone new phones of cours3. What kinda software? That is really awesome. This was done on an iPad 2, using no external mic’s. On a phone, these days, it’s more difficult to monitor without a headphone jack.
The “white noise” is a waterfall that’s about 30 feet away…I was on a mountainside in Vermont.
That was done with the software I mentioned previously…MultitrackDAW for iOS. It was one of the first things I recorded with it. It lead to me ditching my computer recording for iOS for a few years…happily. I learned to pear down, and make the most of what was ”at hand”.Cool! As I rarely use my phone for more than phone stuff, and have various MT equipment, I would likely never do it myself that way but what a compact way to do it.
Good to know.
Interesting. The above Berhinger and Audacity is free. It works.
I may boost the mic with my high headroom boost pedal 30 db of clean boostYep….worst you’ll get is a mono mic signal. It may require a little (lot) of gain from the preamp. We shall see! I’m really looking forward to this!
