TVvoodoo's Straplab

Working on something new today. Well actually, started on this late yesterday. Dyed some black and cream snake-embossed leather
here in, for a new look inamber and purple. Then I faded in some sweet bursty edges. Came out pretty nice!
Sometimes you just never know

Finish coated it twice, and by the time the afternoon rolled around, I was able to use it to build the first three
"Dark Shadows" series straps. Now in the Reverb store!

All my basic recipe... 3" wide, rolled edges, more comfort than you deserve with pillowy padding that compresses exactly right, heavy duty leather, and they edge up to 60" long maximum adjustment. The kind of length you need for them sexy guitar man moves!

Careful though, do some stretches first you old codgers

Visually, these straps are super-spicy. Nice to have a little extra heat around when you need it!

Yeah, baby!
Those are both gorgeous but the purple is just awesome looking. No one out there makes a finer strap as far as I'm concerned

@Clockworkmike - awwww, so nice of you to say! I appreciate it so much, particularly right now!

I'll tell you what, I had great months sales wise for sept. and oct. But November has me real worried.
I've sold 2 straps this whole month so far. I'm not doing anything different that I can tell- It's rather concerning.
So goes the life of an "online marketer" LOL!

Not complaining, or panicking, it's just how sudden things fell off. Never seen it before.
Maybe folks are tightening belts for Christmas

Over the weekend, enjoyed a visit from my sister. Apparently, the bad news is, my niece happens to dating a guitar player.
LOL! She can do so much better! She was looking for a nice gift.

She sent me a pic of his fave guitar, and my first reaction was..... OK, tasty! H/S/S Vintage White strat with tort. I suggested a prophecy strap, told her I'd do one up in my custom/custom top of the line Class Act back buckle design for him.

She goes, ok... you probably know what's best.

So, today I toiled away on this special custom for most of the day, and I managed to get it done...

After supper I check my emails, OMG!!! She totally backed out on that idea, her daughter figures he'd be way more into something without a cross, how about white flames on black leather. LOL!!! OK, well guess this brand new prophecy shown above is headed into the reverb store, probably tomorrow.

Something else I crafted over the weekend, basically just fooling around. Have been thinking for a few weeks of trying to get my Iommi on and make a gothic style cross out of heavy leather. Simply cut out the cross out of 12 oz. vegtan, did some simple tooling, dyed black added a little metal embellishment

OgeVLoJV_o.jpg

Just the right size, about 4" tall. Still needs a protective finish though. Pretty cool.

Colin send a photo of his stable all faithfully Well-Hunged. A tireless online warrior, he mentions a particular brand quite a lot on bass-talk,
which is appreciated!

Here's the latest Prophecy custom order gone wrong, now for open sale to anyone. Class Act deluxe back buckle style, gorgeous leather
I was saving in reserve for a special project. Adjusts 45-59

This one is called "Blood of the Lamb"

Happy Thursday, last day of November! I will note I've sent a few straps just lately to loving ladies with brand new reverb accounts who share surnames and addresses of previous strap customers. That's how to get it done for the holiday season... put Well-Hung on your list, they'll figure it out. What fine partner doesn't want her main squeeze to be... uh... um...

.... a super comfortable and happy guitarist?

or you could just ask for goofy socks or a sweater or something, I guess.

I set him up, Wav smacks it out of the park LOL

Got a shipment in of new Well-Hung emblems. Just in time... only had two left! Gonna be a lot of straps come off my bench before I use all these up! Might last the rest of my strap-making career if BIG Strap has their way.

Even crisper stamping on them then last batch from a few years back.

Been meaning to build a few more of these beauties for months, today was the day... "Brimstone!"
Fine Italian leather, elegantly rich colour tone. Padded in the Well-Hung way, adjust 46"-60" long.

How long is 60"? Most real or fake leather straps like this from stores go about 51"-52" If you're one of those guys finds himself on the last loop of your strap adjustment ladder, and it's still too short... VERY COMMON! Come join up with your bros in the Well-Hung clan of having a bit more than the average fellow on tap if you need it.

Decently long strap handmade of fine materials, offering cadillacky comfort, goes real easy on your body, but doesn't look like some sort of gimmicky gadget? This is it! heavy harness leather nose and tail, velvety black lining.

Happy Friday my brothers - don't do anything I wouldn't do!

I'm looking forward to the 3 coming my way. I already have planned the guitars that will be wearing your straps once they are are properly hung with the Well Hung strap holders. 1 set of each, gold, black and nickel. However I think I see a bronze in there? These three guitars have been packed in storage for the past 4 years and I have them out now, ready to be hung.

Whoops! Oh man! I forgot Wavbro... I owe you some Pro-pins still! No these bags are full of my small tin emblem logo... not strap buttons. I'll get those off ASAP!

OMG what a couple of days.
Yesterday, I drove my pop four and a half hours specialist doctors appt. in Saskatoon. We had about an eight minute meeting, then four and a half hours back LOL! Long story short, somewhere in there, I dropped my phone out of his truck. I think it must have been when I stepped out to
eyeball if his truck would fit under the floating bar, that was blocking vehicles too tall from entering parking garage. He's got something called a headache rack that sticks up out of the box, and yeah it caused some headaches alright

Anyway, I soon realized i my phone was missing, did some preliminary searches, backtracked, etc... as best we could, due to the appointment time etc.... called it several times, no answer... then expected the worst. Went through all the motions of cancelling the sim card, and all that... a lot easier said than done. Last night get home and begin to try to change all my passwords and stuff, because... security, right? So how do you do any of that with all the two factor verification required to change your passwords when you don't have your phone? Do some thinking on that! It's all at a standstill. Something needs to be done different there. I found myself in a feedback loop of being shut out of being able to protect my own identity, due to identity protection.

Knowing about the "find my phone feature" would have been helpful, but I did not, until late last night, and my phone company rep didn't mention it to me either. strange.

Anyway, turns out my device was found today, after about 20 hours of people cruising over it laying on the asphalt at the entrance to the hospital parking garage. Security lady said it looked kinda bad. Our TTR resident Rockstar in Saskatoon @Jethro Rocker kindly picked it up for me, he figures maybe I can salvage something of it. But what I really hope for is that he was kind enough to add some contact addresses for a few of his spare adoring groupies? That would be so fine! I'm not asking for the best ones either.

here's what that kind of "not ideal" placement situation will do to a phone - thanks for the horrifying pics jethro - he figures it may be salvagable
told me he's changed out a screen himself before.

But I will tell you this, if you have not lost a phone yet, with all the things, and access to things on it, etc, make sure it is secure, or you know how to lock it down fast. This was a huge learning deal for me. I basically suffered a 24 hr. panic attack, until late this morning when I finally knew the device was in safe hands, and not some miscreant trying to squeeze any/everything they could out of it.

Made one strap today, can't take pics... no phone... but soon! Instead I'm just going to offer up this video of Well-Hung Pro-pins, which I believe is the bestest, most simple, carefree guitar security solution, especially when in tandem with a strap with a good leather end. Everyone who purchases these loves 'em. Buy a set so I can pay for a phone repairs, or a new unit if required!

I don't know if dude had an enviable gear year or what, but he dropped this feedback last night, and I'll totally take the "W"

I also put together this little video on a guitar project I did in 2023, it's a bit scrappy but you get the idea.

Happy to hear, you are getting it back Brad. For me I would not have to panic, not that I want to lose my phone. I have no data on my phone other than that, a few pictures and phone numbers. I only use it for texting and phone calls.
I’d be in the same boat as Brad. I use my phone more than I fire up my laptop. And I don’t use the phone part of it that much. Hate phones. Comes from 40+ years of having to use one daily for my job. My “phone” gets used more for texting with friends and family. Google searches. TTR…. Which is where I’m typing this post. And of course photos and over 1000 tunes I’ve got loaded on it. And lots more.

I hate the small screen. I browse at home on the tablet or laptop and do banking etc on the desktop. All the pics, editing, video editing etc is done on desktop.
Phone is for texting, phoning, some pics, game tickets, app for mixer etc.
We all do it differently!
Hopefully a new screen gets Brad back in biz to transfer to a new phone!

If I have a lot of typing to do, I like doing that on the laptop. I prefer a real keyboard. Same for extensive research. I can have multiple tabs going letting me tab between websites. Plus. My laptop has a 17” screen. I like that. When it dies I’ll be getting me another 17” screen laptop.

What I like to do is, be working on my laptop. Have my satellite radio app open on my phone listening to tunes.

I’m googling constantly on my phone. Things like watching a movie/show wondering what else that actor has done. That kinda stuff. Plus a bazillion apps. Most I actually use.

And funny. As much as I use my phone, I don’t come close to my 40 something year old kids.
