I've posted about this work in progress before, and the first four are now for sale in the reverb shoppe Axe Warrior V1 (brown leather) is ready for deployment
I want to thank a few people, Stanley of Midnight Crow out Wisconsin way, M. Pinter of Pinter guitars and J. Jordan of the CAF, with his boots on the ground expertise. He showed me this and our discussion helped spur some ideas. He continues to field test the prototype I sent him, and the others mentioned as well. One thing we decided we
didn't need was a quick break-away mechanism, so you don't have to put your arms up high when trying to be stealthy under fire when removing it LOL!
Anyway, The first batch is in brown and brass, and brutishly handsome. Much like Donny Dagger was in his prime, before all the problems
I mention more about this revolutionary design in the Reverb listing, but what I'm most excited about is how it works in a truly innovative way. Floating pad straps are famous for floating exactly where you DON'T want them to go, as you move your guitar, even a little. Axe Warrior is built so you enjoy about nine or ten inches of skinny strap travel, sliding right through the pad while it stays locked in place on your shoulder. It's really something. Takes but a few minutes practice to learn how it works, but once you latch onto this system, you won't even have to think about it anymore. It just works.
Double D-rings, both sides, the heavier the pull, the tighter they grip. And the whole thing is built with heavy duty Aussie military surplus cotton/nylon Cordura, and heavy duty oil-tanned leather ends. It's battle-ready to heft either a rocket launcher, or your guitar. Plus the 14" long, 3-1/4 wide ULTRA-padded and suede leather lined shoulder pad is going to make gigs and rehearsals fly by. No pressure points will be pounded via this system. It's your next favorite guitar strap, I'm loving the one I'm keeping for myself.
Anyway, it's brand new, and I think it's pretty cool. Seems to look pretty at home on most any guitar.
Some black leather ones will be coming next week. Quite exciting!
Dropping Midnight Crow's recent video, Stan on vox and guitar is quite the fellow I can tell you that! Both guitarists are using Well-Hung, stanley's "Zen Master" gets lots of screen time. It's his daily driver and has been for over a year now.
