I ordered a used Ibanez SR400 bass from GC and it was an out-of-box failure. Really bummed, but incredibly…

A found a newer SR400EQM (quilt maple top) with more cool features and a prettier finish in better condition (it’s an open-box sale) for LESS cash outlay thanks to free shipping.

So I lucked out and found one better in every way that still fit my budget! Whoohoo!

I’m guessing that quilt maple top is about as thick as a sheet of paper, but I don’t care.

Any option for passive…like a push/pull anywhere?

There’s no way to bypass the preamp. But that’s not a drawback for me (unless the preamp goes south)… I like active EQ, and if you run all three of the EQ controls at their center detents, you should be hearing the pickup unaffected.
