Contrary to what the masses have told me, me little RS gas soldering iron was pretty good - I left it to get really lot, got some solder flowing on it, cleaned the tip, played around a bit then soldered the pin (not with perfect soldering style because I couldn't get me two hands in there to manipulate the solder properly from the tip to the pin, I had to use both hands to steady meself with the tip, so I didn't damage other wires... But, what I am telling you is that the soldering was, ok, not that bad on the day. Thus, the confidence has come to solder my pickups into the SG and get rid of that horrible circuit board that Gibson slapped me around the face with a wet fish by using... I'll watch a couple of videos to get a better idea of techniques, get my tip clean, have the iron as hot as possible then have a go! You need to watch out for some updates to my SG updates thread! Just when you thought things couldn't get any better...
