Clue it's a tube amp.

makes sense when I rent a car I rent a corvette -- or something I cant afford to drive every day --- and also something I DONT HAVE TO PAY TO MAINTAIN
drive it like ya rented it!

Getting used to setting up patches can be a whole new opportunity to spend time on something other than playing!

There is value in being able to just run and gun with a rig you’re familiar with.

Yeah, me too. That’s one of the reasons I went with an actual amplifier rather than a higher-end processor when I was weighing which direction to go in my recent Rivera purchase. Although the idea of something like a Fractal or even a Helix was pretty intriguing to me, I knew I could get up and running faster with a physical amplifier. I knew I’d spend a lot of time playing around with configurations and programming patches. Although I’m comfortable with doing that, I knew it would be another time drain.
