My favorite is the classic three tones and a presence knob.




But then, I also like the Vox style treble-bass-cut style tone circuit. Especially with an EF-86 Pre-amp tube.

Not had or tried anything other than my Traynor YGM3 or Fender Vibro Champ. Both have single controls for volume, bass, treble. Like a few other comments here. I K.I.S.S. Don’t even want to have split HBs. That said. I did swap in a 4 position switch in the Tele and I do have a magic button on the Strat that brings in the bridge pup in positions 4 and 5. But that’s about as wild as I get.
