TTR says photos 88.2kb too large:

I have to take a screenshot then crop and save to post photos now.

Even resized to 88kb the system still says the file is too large to post.

Must be a fluke. I don’t generally need to shrink photos down that small to post. There have been a few times where I have had an issue regardless size I’ve tried to post. I’ve walked away and tried again later and it worked.

Same as Robert.photos my phone takes to big. Screen shot same photo it will load onto forum.

It could be pixel height or width too large, not file size.

Agree. Any photo I take with my camera will not post on TTR. Too big. So I just email the photo to myself which easily allows me to shrink them from multi MB to a few KB. An xtra step…. But it works for me.

Screen shot of choices I get when I email a photo to myself. I usual choose the small or medium choice. Photos post easily when I do that.

Besides using the phones image settings to control the size of the image, there are free apps for our smartphones that will resize the images into another copy of the original. For my iPhone, I use an app called “Image Size”.

That’s the same app I use if I want to resize an image from my phone or iPad. Usually, though, I post images from my computer and use paint.net to resize images.

Same here. Posting from computer is easy. I use MS Paint to change size. I know there are apps out there to resize the photo. Done the email thing so often now, I can email it and then from there post it to TTR pretty quickly.

I forgot to ask earlier, but did the warning actually displayed that the file was too large?
“WebP” type of files are not acceptable, AFAIK

Takes an extra step, but I think it's easier on the server to use a hosting site and just insert links.
I use imgur myself. It's free and pretty simple to use, unlike some others I tried.

Works well for any size image, and even for gifs.

Yep, it i had to shrink it way, way down.
