Challenge 18
First lets start with what Barbarian Bob and crew did on holiday.
We went to the home of the white powder of greatness ... Miami Florida!!
What a place! First we hit the beaches!!! holy smokes, here are some pics of the beach. As you can see the beaches there are beautiful.
Then we got invited to a party, and let me tell you it was the most Metal to the Core brutal party EVER!!! The wooden idol of fertility was a massive hit.
They had so much powder of greatness there...
After that party, thats when we came up with the idea for our lead off song for the album!!

After touring so intensely with Wusstallica, a break is welcome. I was relieved to be able to travel to the Amazon and meet with a shaman. I had the most re-invigorating time. 
After that, I spent a while documenting the rest of my vacation with a camera. I made it into a documentary that you can watch. It's called Lord of the Rings.
I spent the rest of the time holed up in some dude's woodshed, unbeknownst to him, working on a new song.
First I worked out the bare bones of the tune. I broke it down to it's basic chords and strummed away unplugged for a while
I started to get kinda bored with it and decided to plug into my crappy little practice amp. I also plugged in my favorite pedal - the metal simulator - and suddenly the song started coming together. Here's the EXACT SAME RIFFS with this awesome pedal through the amp:
Ah, yes, finally! Those 3 little chords are starting to sound a little bit more like metal. That's more like it!! Now, I just need some lyrics...
I began to write a song about being beheaded on a guillotine....from the POV of the condemned...but the big twist is that he's the victim of a curse, and he can't die...even if his head has been removed...so I started scratching some words down. Hey, they made sense at the time ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The new record co is gonna love it, I just KNOW it!!

So now Bad Axis is coming out of the cellar.
We got hooked up with A major Label
We are all living the big time.
We are in a mood take a Holiday .
But D.R.L. won’t give up, and is saying the record bosses are on his ass… so we had to put together a quickie.. An anthem… we don’t do Anthem’s.. but for the first time, we did.
Here are the lyrics we scratched out on the Fly.

We think it may add more to our fan base.. And the rest of the band agreed.
The tune is still not morphed into what it will become. But it gets D.R.L. A bit of comfort.
No place like home as all our fans know.. We are out of SoCaL
So with all the big money we are getting. And some much needed time off..
We decided to pay back our supporting fans throw a nice little party.
We invited Dirty Honey to join us . Just to broaden the fan base.
They are another great SoCaL band.
So we rented the Greek Theater.
And through a hush kind of party.
It became a larger than we expected, but totally worth it all in the end.

Our fan base is still growing.
And I think more are on the way.
We are just slow enough with a great vibe, we are pulling fans from many age groups.

Today is my Saturday. I’ve had a week, this week…between work, and continuing education (so I can keep working). I’ve got ideas, but haven’t actually had much time to sit and write out the lyrics. I got up early to get ahead on the house/yard/bbq stuff for today. I’m on schedule to have something this afternoon/evening. (unless I do something “bad” with the chainsaw

Stumbling around the woods, as usual, we get a call from basecamp…Man!…we’re on vacation! W in the F do they want now?!?! We’ve been out galavanting around the woods, having a good old time, with some good friends of the road…
Meeting likeminded Squatchers…
Finding cool tracks…
Even a Blob-Squatch, in a stand of birch trees! The fun stuff! (When you’re not rockin’ balls-out, living the touring musician’s life of excesses)
Well it seems we’ve been picked up, from Legit, to Warner Music…and it sounds like another trip to the bank is in order…
….but…
They want something huge…something proud…..something thoughtful and thought provoking from us…
