It’s about time you fellas polished up some of this hot material to offer it up for sale to the masses! Livin’ like a proper Rock Star ain’t cheap y’know, so let’s try to and see if we can begin to make a bit of a living off all this rock and rollercoaster!
A friend of a friend with a pretty good ear and a half-decent basement recording space has assisted your band in laying down four of your best originals mix/mastering them quite adeptly. A MAJOR step for you fellas, independent releases! This material will be streaming and for D/L on Amazon, Spotify etc, plus you’ll also be selling burn discs at shows... and boy are the gig bookings coming in!
As most of you already know, cool and clever packaging of these offerings is going to be a major difference between total flops or rocketing sales! Also, at this time it’s prudent for your band to hire a full time Band Manager/Agent/Bodyguard to take your mind off of the small sundry details, like making sure there are no catastrophic tiny bread episodes backstage and such.

Show Off Your Package
Your Challenge: create covers for your new products, starting with four individually downloadable singles.
Then, you’ll also package those singles into your first band EP offering. And, hire a Manager/Agent/Bodyguard
Step 1. Choose four titles of your four singles which must be taken directly from your previously-submitted lyrics from
Chapters 7, 9 or 11, and create a single graphic for each one (X4). Tell us a bit about the song in text underneath each pic.
Step 2. Package the four songs into an EP. The title of your EP must come from way back in Chapter 3 where you will excerpt a portion of text from your original “Puttin’ it Out There” bulletin board notice. (Way back after thread pg. 56)
There are various places you can do album covers on the web, but a good one, probably easiest, is RIGHT HERE
I suggest signing up as a casual member, you get more options. It’s a fun place to explore/play anyway. If you sign up, you’ll be able to choose a great photo background, upload the logos I gave you, place 'em and crop to fit best, by removing the background etc. You can also choose fonts for titles, move stuff around, various effects etc. You're also 100% welcome to use photoshop, MS paint or a similar program to put the band logo and album title on any photo for the cover. There are many online photo editors where you can do this stuff. Unfortunately I won’t be able to help anyone this time because I'm traveling. But in the end it doesn’t matter to me how you do it, help each other, ask a friend, just git’ er done!
YOUR SUBMISSION MUST INCLUDE
1. Create a Cover Graphic for each of 4 songs (4 album covers). Must include band name (or logo) and song title. Your 4 song titles MUST come directly from your Ch. 7 “Your Audition” or ch 9 "Shrubbery" or Ch. 11 “Quick ‘n Dirty” lyrics (Pgs. 119/152). We also want a brief two or three sentence description of each single, under each cover graphic (such as this below).
"Total downtempo drone piece single 4:52. No drums, just bass & synth, punctuated by horrifying screams of agony, toilet flushes, and magical shimmering chimes. Expected to be a torture piece used for Military Psyops highly amplified to demoralize the enemy. They do pay royalties!"
2. Very similar to the above, create an EP cover with title AND your band name or logo, for burn discs to sell at shows and on Spotify. Finally, a pic of your new Band Manager/Agent/Security person and some fun/interesting info about this key person, background, etc. Six photos total. I know I can count on you fellas for plenty of entertaining text.
Do NOT take this challenge lightly! Great thought and care required. There will be a Community Vote for Elimination on this. Again, in the event of a tie for least number votes, the latest submission is the loser. After the vote ONE packaging effort will be deemed unattractive enough to be a rockstar career-ending disaster for a Game of Toanz competitor. Thankfully, "Doody Calls" The local festival portapotty rental outfit is hiring, so at least you'll be able to hear most of the cool bands playing, when the vac truck ain't roaring at 90 or so decibels.
Final Note: Penalty or Bonus points MAY make the difference. Penalty points will be applied from round 11 to steal your votes if you effed up, but Cowboy is also giving you some opportunities to earn bonus to be applied to Chapter 12 voting tallies, including:
