TTR Game of Toanz

Here's my best guesses for what we will be subjected to.

Can't wait

@Don O
Leaving on a Jet Plane
Dock of the Bay
Blackbird
Pina Colada Song
Might let his hair down and find The gain knob with Jet Airliner
And more pics of his floors

And for the non-game official record, yes I do know it :pound-hand::pound-hand::pound-hand::pound-hand:

Playing a Brian Moore CP-90 using the Piezo built into the bridge.

@Don O is in... a bit quirky and unexpected with the bass but entirely valid. Good song choice but not quite a clean run. Some bonus points will be awarded but also a penalty for showing us way too much leg. No Petey though, maybe next time.

Game of Toanz Pro Tips:

This is an Elimination round... therefore the pressure is only on NOT being last place in the vote total. That would suck.

For the Immunity rounds the pressure is on you to dominate and find your way to the top to earn "Woody," but if you simply participate and follow the rules you will not be voted out or penalized for the next chapter.

Not trying to influence the game master, but thought I'd point out there ARE 5 WH straps in that shot :dood:

Guy stops in the store the other day and says he has a small record label company here on the mountain. Says he found a Mountain News newspaper with a purple Post-it note stuck to it, outside a Wine Bar last week. He read about the guy who hangs out in front of the local market with the “Will play for food sign” and decided to look the guy up.

He drove over to the market, but it was closed since the roof had collapsed under the weight of the 6 ft of snow. He started talking to one of the locals and mentions the guitar player, and the local goes “Oh yea. I heard he inherited some money from an uncle that passed and opened a small guitar shop here on the mountain”. He looks at the Mountain News again and realizes that’s me!

So, we start talking and he goes “I hear you like Thai sticks” and he hands me a few; what a way to start a conversation. He says he likes to spend his money locally to “keep it on the mountain” as we say. He finally gets around to saying he always wanted to learn how to play Bass guitar but just hasn’t pulled the trigger. He asked if I had any Bass rigs.

I said “your timing is perfect. I just had a guy trade this in the other day, this Bass guitar and tiny NUX practice amp.” He asks if I could demo it for him, and do I know Leaving on a Jet Plane….. :pound-hand:

After the demo he goes “you really suck!”. His hospital stay was only 3 days…

@Thatbastarddon (and everyone) this is one of few challenges requiring actual guitar playing. I want to be inclusive for all skill levels and keep it light & fun. That's why I gave a whole week on this one, it's a more difficult and time intensive challenge.

All this pressure I bear down on you to hurry is half in jest and half for keeping a fire lit under y'alls because to me, booting anyone for failing to participate is the worst possible reason.

So when I nag, it's for your own damn good. That's what she said
At the risk of catching some real hell here lol, in fairness to the folks who do play bass: is this not acceptable? The criteria was met with the amount of songs, listed riffs, time constraints and a live performance.

Alright, blast me lol

No Hell, real or imagined, from me….bass guitar is a guitar of manly scale and stature….he could have picked a baritone guitar, and no one would, likely, have said anything…so…whateve’s ….don’t listen to me, I’ve been drinking, and someone just gave me a DVD of a live gig we did in 98…I converted it from VHS around 2006…Holy smokes! I forgot all about it…what a trip.

And that would be awesome to see, some of your early work!

I had heard of those other 2 dudes long before Kobain

For those that may not know, Mitch lives in CA and played the legendary LA scene that we know, at the time it was all happening. Mitch is a fly on the wall to rock legend and also is part of the action. He an OG with rock cred knocked clear out of the park. Don't let his modestly fool you.

Go Mitch! Gotta ...recognize.

The TTR Game of Toanz Rock 'n Roll fraternity continues to anxiously await the
jaw-dropping guitar store pyrotechnics from these SIX rock star hopefuls.
Less than 20 hours to DEADLINE

@LRT
@Thatbastarddon
@C-Grin
@Iron1
@DangerousR6
@Inspector #20
Where are U guys?

Will there be sweep arpeggios? More tap 'n whammy? Pinch Harmonics?
Or just the uncool and super boring parts of Free Bird?

I know youse remaining have it deep inside, waiting to explode out of your fingertips and probably
cause the youtube servers to crash from the insane amount of adoring worldwide internet traffic.

MESSAGE TO FOLKS WATCHING
GAME OF TOANZ BUT NOT
AS ROCK STAR HOPEFULLS

You are absolutely welcome to post here but please keep it on topic and game-related.
We all want you to join in the fun, and be involved too. When these threads are busy
the game is really rockin', and so are The Tone Rooms.

The best kinds of posts are those that harass and/or adulate our Rock Stars in a fun way.
They live for that attention :poo:.
They don't even know what the word adulate means, that's ok.
To them it probably sounds like it's a weird kind of kinky mostly legal sex or something.

THIS GAME
NEEDS OUTSIDE WATCHER-FANS CHEERING THEM ON, AND YOUR VOTES
IN THE REGULAR VOTE/POLL THREADS.
Two new ones are coming tomorrow night.
Vote Poll threads will be posted in "The Closet" section, there will be links in this thread too.

Also, if you wish to take part in the challenges, we ALL want to see what you can do!
Can you do it better than these jokers? Maybe! Please post your takes on the challenges
in the VOTE threads, and not this main Game of Toanz thread. It will be seen!

Thank you and please enjoy responsibly!

Thank ya so much for the compliment and support buddy.

I will do the best I can here.
But I am up against some real talent here.

I mostly faked, and whammy bar fooled many.. the echoplex helped greatly.
Thanks @Sapient

Mitch

I tried to get him going but he refused.
We ended up jamming on some wicked pick slides instead.
