im sure there is other ways but this is the way i know. you record your audio and you film playing audio, you can film youself while tracking the audio if sure you not going to mess up then you put your wav and video and other persons udio and video together in video editor once project is done export.
 
I’m just learning to shoot video with good audio(from an interface with mic’s)...I got a cheap webcam and a ring light. It can be done with an iPhone too; shooting video with audio from an external interface...but it’s kinda touchy to set up...there’s a specific order to plugging things in to get it to work.

I was having a difficult time with set up last night...then I realized that Quicktime doesn’t like having audio routing changed *while the program is running*. On the iPhone, the order of start up is; plug in the USB adapter, turn on the phone, open the camera app, then plug the interface in. Inputs 1 & 2 will record as left and right....all other inputs will be ignored. If the phone shuts off...start over again. That’s why I took an interest in recording video directly to my computer.

We might have something for you....since you're so into a metal song HAVING to have a solo...lol....perhaps YOU can add one to this that I have in mind.

Remember though that we'll have to rehearse it a bit--HOPE--that we're both in good enough shape to do it lol

im honorted if somone wants my playing in video or if somone wants to jam with me but ,are you sure you want my shitty solos? lol

record everything than send me ill do the rest i have time :) i tryed to play this evening and my hands are very stiff and all my muscles in my hand ache from gardening. so need time to get them working to my usual shitiness lol

I just figured that this new one, because it has a lot of moving parts with both guitars already happening....I don't know if I'm even up to coming up with anything to put in it as far as lead work...it really requires all of my concentration to make it work at the tempo I want it already, without solos lol

I've attempted to put vocals on it before, and it's okayish....but there's, like, polyrhythms going on that always causes my poop to stumble, and then just fall apart completely lol

I'm not worried about how long it takes. I just think this is a great fun idea and I think we should at least try it out, yeah?

We won't post anything unless there's full consent from everyone involved and all that stuff. If you're not happy with it, then we don't need to publicize it. Period.

But I feel like it can't hurt anything to try!

Awesome. I can't promise it will be tonight, or even this week lol...but I AM going to send you something for sure.

You know what...I have something nobody has ever heard, I think. It's pretty simple and rudimentary, but I'll send it and you can do what you wish to it. I think it might be fun. It's only myself, attempting to make a backing track for my own use, so I say, do what you want to it and then surprise me by posting it on TTR lol
