Well, I love Monster Magnet and Dave Wyndorf as much as anyone but still don't see the need to leave the TRC off
"Requires" may be too strong a word. Also, he used a one-off bamboo neck guitar for a while, so who knows!Don't take this the wrong way, but that is not exactly a glowing advertisement for Anderson guitars. If something requires a truss rod adjustment mid-gig, I personally would not consider it a viable gigging guitar.
I agree, and I think Leo and many others got it right. Gibson has headstock issues! They break, and before they do, you need to break into them!Butt arent there a WHOLE LINE of guitars with NO TRC?????

unless I am daft (well......) most Fenders do not posses a TRC? --- and many "off" bradn and clones have NO TRC.........yet we love these ......we own these...we play these........
so
whats alll the hub bub ........Bub?

I serious doubt that! You have nice guitars that are well cared for. Us basement players have more time to obsess about minutia! In reality, it could just be me having incredibly low standards.

There's a lot of truth to that...Us basement players have more time to obsess about minutia!

If I hear buzzing where there was none last time I put it away, the usual culprit will be the relief. So I will immediately slap on a capo and check it. If necessary, I may give it a slight turn. If the problem is on a few spots on the upper frets, I have, on more than 5 occasions, dropped everything and leveled the frets right there and then. However, since my fret dressing skills have improved, this does not happen very often anymore. There's a lot of truth to that...
How do you know when it's time to make a truss rod adjustment? Do you go by feel? Or are you constantly measuring at certain points? Do you like some relief in the neck, or keep it straight?

See, there is the divergence. Since I play at home, my amp is rarely loud enough to drown out the natural sound from the strings!Buzz shmuzz, if I can’t hear it through the amp it never happened, haha
Yet being the operative wordcome to think of it I have yet to have to adjust a SINGLE Peavey maple neck..........
One thing I cannot stand is hearing my strings acoustically while plugged in electrically. To me, it's like each source of sound is fighting each other. It's either totally acoustical, or the volume of the amp is loud enough were I don't hear the strings acoustically. Isn't dat vierd?See, there is the divergence. Not weird. However, my wife is sensitive to noise, or at least the noise that comes from my guitar! One thing I cannot stand is hearing my strings acoustically while plugged in electrically.
