TRS adapter cables for Peavey amps with 3-button switches and 7-pin DIN cables

This is the thread I'm looking for. Just picked up a Joyo PXL Live off my band mate.
I have a Peavy 6505+, 7 Pin DIN Cable and the ugly footswitch.
The Joyo PXL can send two 'triggers' to channel switch, either via 5 pin MIDI or 1/4 inch.

My soldering skills are dodgy and I'm really nervous about doing this myself incase I ruin a perfectly good cable and can't resolder the DIN connection.
I may go to jaycar and get those TRS jacks and give it a go though, worst case scenario I can find someone to help me out.

I'm a bit confused, is it one DIN Cable OUT of the peavy, which you've split into two TRS female jacks at the end of that cable, which you connect to the switcher via patch cables? Do they specifically have to be TRS cables?
Could I use male jacks on the switcher cable instead and plug that straight into my switcher?
Can you show me what the split looks like and how you've tidied it up?

Haven’t seen Dave in a while, but who knows….maybe he will chime in…

As far as I can tell from the Joyo website diagrams, the trigger out of the PXL control is not TRS.
It's strictly 2 conductor mono plugs ( or TS 1/4" plugs)...

As far as making an adapter to the PV DIN control system:
Checking, please standby...

Looking at the PV 6505+schematic, I see no DIN connector.

So,
are you sure the connector on the PV is a DIN connector?
Because the PV 6505+ schematic shows a TRS jack for the footswitch.

In which case you need:
A Male TRS 1/4" plug to 2 X 1/4" mono plugs, adapter.

TRS tip connects to mono plug 1 tip.
TRS ring connects to mono plug 2 tip.
TRS sleeve connects to sleeve of both mono plugs. (sleeve is ground on all 3 plugs)

However, you can buy a cable already made like this...pretty easily.

My 6505+ head is definitely a 7 PIN cable like this one..

I'm guessing using TRS cables straight into the JOYO may cause some issues..

Hi! I'm going to try this as well. The bulky footswitch is a pain in the ass and I only use the channel switch. I want to only switch channels. Would I be right sayong that I can use a TS plug and connect the crunch cable also to ground with the other wires? Or would crunch always be on that way?

Cheers!

Did it! I reached out to Dave and he told me to make the trs wiring with the crunch attached to the ring. If I use a TS cable the crunch isn't used. And off if you switch it off on the amp.

Little point of attention: in one of the posts on the first page it is said to insulate the 17v wire. Instead ground it with the other wires to prevent a pop when switching.
