Tres Floyd anyone!?!?

Now, let me say that I just cannot seem to get along with Floyd's. I think my heavy-handed playing style has a lot to do with it and my affinity for bending one string a half step and the playing the adjacent string open.

As far as metal goes...I've never played a better metal guitar than the Schecter C1 Hellraiser. From 2005 until 2016, that was my main guitar and I truly regret selling it now, as I think it would be perfect for our current band...even though its only available in 25.5" scale.

The EMG's didn't have quite the character I was looking for at the time - but I was playing on a lot of very diverse musical projects then and what I needed for those projects was very different than what I'm doing now.

The Schecter C1 Hellraiser Trans Purple Burst is the only guitar that really excites me in terms of beautiful coloration, attention to detail and how functional it is in this genre.

Mine was Black Cherry Burst, and it was a string-through-body, fixed bridge model.

I've also found the Jackson's quite good too...great tone, very well fitted out...but I don't like the smaller body size of them....

I love the EMG's in my Jackson...I think they are one of the best sounding pick ups I've ever played through. They really cut through the mix.
