Toyota

I still have a 2006 Tacoma pre runner with four hundred an ten thousand miles on it.
Still passes smog , no check engine light on. I have been rear ended twice, and I will continue to drive it till it runs no more..
And it still looks great.
We tend to run out cars till they puke. Buy new. Keep them forever. This one had just finally seen it’s time.

Case in point. Had an 86 Chevy Cavalier. To date it’s still mechanically the best car I’ve owned. Drove it till late 90s. As was typical American cars built in the 80s, body rotted on it twice. First time we fixed it. Second time we didn’t. Second time it actually rusted out so badly, the unibody where one rear shock mounted… broke. Right rear side of the car would move up and down….. trunk floor wouldn’t. We did continue driving for a little while. But only in our little town. It no longer went on the highway.

But the thing would start every day….. except for one multiple degree below zero day with wind…. Beyond normal wear items, did not break the bank on actual repairs….. except for the fore mentioned body repair.
