So do you consider Michael Anthony to be one of the best bassists of all time?

I don't think he gets the credit he deserves, that's for sure. Greatest? I guess not, but he played in my all-time favorite band, and that makes him great enough in my book! He was rock solid, not particularly flashy, but played some very cool stuff behind Eddie and Alex. And he has a great stage presence.

Michael Anthony was more than a bassist, though. His backing vocals were one of the defining traits of Van Halen. He could sing HIGH harmonies, man!
