Too much time on my hands

I couldn't give a rat's a$$ how the frets look, only care how they feel. I don't like rounded frets like those in the picture, as pretty as they look: I want my frets fairly low and flat on top. And I hate the way stainless frets feel, so those are a no go for me. Also no amount of dressing them, crowing them, polishing them, leveling them can take the place of a few dozen hours of actually playing them to make them feel great.

By the way, if you've not seen this, I like it. Y'all skilled woodworking types should be able to whip one up easily. I got mine on Amazon. D.Drew crown and polisher.

Just grip the foam sanding pad around the block and go for it. Doesn't take long to get a nice crown and low polish done moving from 180 up to 320 grit, or however high you want to go or hit the buffer if you want the fine polish. Better than using a card or those vinyl applicator tools with sandpaper.

Its 2.5x1.75x1" and the steel dowels are about 0.25" but i would prefer if it were just a bit larger.
How long do those foam sanding pads last?
