To What Are Yee Listenin' Right Now?

Shag is a moderately coarse word for having sex here in the UK. It's a bit demeaning and dismissive of the woman though, so you won't hear it often.

Same here, not the kind of term I'd use. You'd hear it used in a rough pub by older blokes.
Made me wonder what was in the fathers mind when he named them.

An interesting piece of trivia about the Easybeats, which some folks may not know...the rhythm guitarist for the Easybeats was George Young, who was the older brother of Malcolm and Angus Young.

George was the brain behind Malcolm & Angus. Naturally in later years the younger Youngs stood alone.
Vanda & Young, what a team!

."History shows again and again
How nature points out the folly of men"

always loved that line.

I been on this since I got the CD last week:

I have heard all the songs before but dont know them well except for The Trooper.
I have started to to learn the first 2 rhythm segments for both guitarists.
I have the notes and progressions down just cant play them through at speed.
I get tripped up on the trill sometimes too.

Its coming up on 3 years I've been serious about learning to play.
I guess I'm below average at learning and developing skill / muscle memory.
I am making progress; slow but progress it is.

Can't get enough of these guys lately...

They are doing some really interesting guitar music that's not really what we typically think when we think " guitar rock"

Prolly my favorite Maiden album from the "golden era"

Was totally stoked on the first two records as a young teen, so much so that it actually took me a while to take a shine to Bruce Dickinson (believe it or not!) but grew to love them even more with him out front. Still not sold on the 3-guitar lineup (and though Janick Gers seems super cool he's kind of a goof) but they continue to make great music, so I guess that's all that counts.

Very-very cool. I've never heard of MTB or their music. Very original and enjoyable. The drumming is insane. Are these guys still around?

Yeah, still going strong. Lots of interesting things happening in their music and they are a killer live band.
