My neighbor has almost completely paved his back yard with bricks. He spent most of the day Friday and most of the day today running an annoyingly loud walk-behind pressure washer. He’s cleaning his bricks. He’s done for now, so I am listening to a blessed silence.

There’s nothing wrong with blessed silence. Don’t get that too often. Although it’s pretty quiet when one starts smoking a brisket at midnight. Sitting outside…. It’s spooky quiet.
