To What Are Yee Listenin' Right Now?

Tone Question: Early in this song, the licks/ fills have a lot of hair. How do you get that? When I play with dirt, whether pushing the amp or with a TS, I get plenty for power chords but on lead licks not so much.
Is this fuzz?

Amps are all tube.

JT check out this clip, Guitar has 2 hums and a P90 it looks like in the middle. Crankin thru Marshall Stack Not sure if a pedal is how he gettin that tone u asked about.

I've been very loosely following this thread. This video clip that the Wave posted just knocked my jock strap off. Never heard of these guys. Guitar player's name is Stef Paglia. This my friends, is what a cranked blackface Super Reverb sounds like. Or, at least I think it was a Super Reverb. This is the type of Blues-Rock n Roll I dig. Lots of emotion and dynamics. Hell yeah... :dood:
Well then, how about some Voodoo Guitar by the BluesBones

My PC is on. Click on Pandora. Automatically opens up on the Black Sabbath station. And I hear this:

... one of my favorite bands... that I hardly know anything about!

Does anyone remember Hear n Aid from '85? Not sure why, but I started thinking about it while driving the other day. It's a cheesy song, but there really are some great vocals and fantastic guitar leads in it.

Dio and his mates were responsible for this coming to life. Dio really sounds awesome in it. Vivian Campbell is incredible.

Observations...

Rob Halford and Geoff Tate are so strong....Halfords voice stands out alone in the chorus.

All the leads flow, even though they all have completely different styles of playing.

Vivian wins!!

Yngwie is incredible....it must have killed him to share the spot light.

George lynch plays out of his mind....that guy rips!

Neil Schon is special, wish he had more riffs.

Brad Gillis has the most distinct style...I could pick him out of a line-up. Whammy master.

Carlos Cavazo's SG sounds so good.

The iron maiden duo needed a bigger role.

Where's Tipton?

Love how someone can lay down so many styles, sounds and techniques in one song. Let 'r rip Vinnie!

Metal!

I have spoken of a number of bands Van Halen, Rush, Zep etc who formed my early growth in R n R.

Forgive me Alice, but Alice Cooper was also a bigtime influence. HEck Yeah Buddy

Who the heck does this? Alice Freakin Cooper is who. He played a free gig out front of the courthouse in the Suburbs of Baltimore in Towson Md 1991
