To What Are Yee Listenin' Right Now?

The new Jane Lee Hooker cd has been spending a lot of time in my car's cd player lately.

Hoping to see Alejandro Escovedo when he plays central Mass. in September.

'54 was such a great year for Les Pauls. Staple P-90s and a tunable bridge for the Customs, and then the stop-tailpiece with P-90s on the Standards. Would love to own a '54 Standard.

I could never live with P90/P94. Far too narrow tonal response, too much floor noise and the lack of precise "intonability" from the wrap around tailpiece kills it for me.

John the one I have is a 1954 LE year 1972 Les Paul told me it was a great guitar one of the good ones in his own words.

I've always loved that style and if I was to get a Custom, it would have to be one like that. It is such a sexy looking guitar with the black P-90 covers and gold screws and staples with the gloss black body. When Les played my '82 Standard, he liked it and thought it was a good one. He said he could see why I had no intention of selling it. Especially since it was my first Les Paul Standard.
