To What Are Yee Listenin' Right Now?

I still think the debut album and Get Your Wings were their best records. Toys in the Attic and Rocks are also quite good. Rocks is probably the last record where Whitford and Perry really put down some evil, nasty guitar tracks. Everything else after that has been rather lame.

Agreed overall, but I have to admit to having a soft spot for Draw The Line. Something about the sound of the band going completely over the edge and a bit out of control was really appealing to me at the time, and I still get a little nostalgic when I spin it now. It's their raunchiest record by far, and I love the self-indulgence.

After that it all definitely came off the rails, and their reborn late '80s/'90s version of themselves is complete crap.

The Toxic Twins at their finest. That album was hastily put together to keep Hamilton from going to jail. Last of the truly wasted era of Aerosmith.

Wow, I started quite the stir.

Guess it is warranted too, because Aerosmith in their early days was like my sister's gift to me with their raw riffage vs the likes of Rush and Yes in my early days of R n R and guitars for myself.

Not a stir really. Those first 5 Aerosmith studio albums (and one live one) are desert island albums for me. I saw them live more than any other band in the '70s and early '80s, bar none. But as far as I am concerned they ceased to exist after Draw The Line.

Then, if they didn't break up for a while, there would have never been the Joe Perry Project or the Whitford - St. Holmes Band.

Gball, I used the word " stir" because a lot of times we all post tunes we recently listened to and then our bretheren reply with additional song clips which I listen to and enjoy.

But in this case, I posted these couple and it actually stirred the soup of conversation which I also enjoy reading other people's past and present experiences. So, just like when I am cooking delicious soup in my crockpot, we've strirred it to create the good stuff not a rift type strirring.

I know this was obviously one of the "popular" Aerosmith tunes, but I still like it,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,after all it does have that DRIVING beat and pretty darn cool guitar licks.......they aren't Slity Licks like in Pandora's Box, but pretty cool all the same.............
