I am listening to Gary Clark Jr play the pentatonic scale on the Grammys while his backup guitarist simultaneously tears it up.

I have tried to like this fellow so many times. He presents himself as someone I would like. I have listened to the individual parts - lyrics, playing, singing - and I have stepped back and listened to it all together- and I have left empty handed every time

Just bought a ticket to see Nektar next week here in town. Their new album sounds great, and the interview by Bob Dubrow with Derek Moore on WMBR was excellent. Can't wait to see them Monday night. Good thing it's an early show, Derek said their set list is over two hours long.
