To What Are Yee Listenin' Right Now?

And a little less Hyundai SUV perhaps

Ahh, yes, a little less. :D

I love Holy Diver and it's fun to hear it in an advert on television, but it also ruins it for me a bit :(

it doesn't ruin it for me, for the simple fact that they use it. Back in the day, Metal was shunned by the "it"crowd. Never on Tv, never on an ad, rarely in a movie.

I remember in 1986, when AC/DC was used in that movie, Maximum Overdrive. The movie sucked, and the main song used was "Who made Who" (my least favorite at the time), but I was excited AC/DC was in a movie.....No matter how bad it was.

I actually think metallica had a lot to do with metal going main stream.....'cause it was cool to like them. Is it coincidence, that's when I started to NOT like them???..... Hummmm:hmmm:

I guess I'm a bit disappointed that Ronnie James isn't around to tell the ad execs to leave a great song alone.
It is good to hear a small grab on the tele every now and again though.
:dood:

Another fave Aussie band.

The Cruel Sea. Frontman Tex Perkins has been around forever, and just gets better and better...

And a "side project" that ended up being Tex Perkins' regular gig, Tex, Don and Charlie.

Tex Perkins from Beasts of Burboun/The Cruel Sea
Don Walker from Cold Chisel,
and
Charlie Owen. A very respected guitarist and session player in Australia.

I saw the 'Tatts many years ago after 'Angry' had calmed down a bit and developed a mainstream television career out of building playgrounds for under privelliged kids and he had decided he would not sing any lyrics that referred to violence of any kind.

His throat pretty much got the night off that night :rolf:
Great hard rockin' band with a number of really good slide players over the years.
