To What Are Yee Listenin' Right Now?

first try at doing a song that can be on par with the studio stuff.. So..since Friday...over & over in Reaper recording a song..it's fun having everything here..all the amps & guitars..just grab what ya want instead of a few that get brought to studio..man i hope it works out...so love doing it...fun to layer more than usual & take my time

My problem is that I never get anything done.....tangents happen...

i just became very methodical...but have a strait through track to keep the initial capture,

Seem to do good in sections...have intro- verse--chorus. set pretty good
Spent a full day on each..sense ..i must complete the basics all in a row....get it captured ...then really start to mix....

Went for very good tone & timing in the takes vs wanting to clean em up later..have that luxury vs studio

also the GAP pre in excellent..was able to capture exact amp tone with gain on lowest setting then volume to level..very warm very

then instead of going to more gain like i usually do..pedal.. just upped the gain on preamp then backed down volume..it added grit but in a good non fizzy way...

pre's are a recorders best friend ,,finding that out. The Neve style really has captured the sound i had in my head
