JT, this guy nails that song incredibly if you ask me. WOW he plays it great.
Love This Solo....
I sure miss Stevie.
Robert I love the solo Stevie lays down in this song. Solo with Soul
Stevie also bears his soul in a reflective way about the important things in life and how we should be a giver of blessings to others. He never saw it coming that his days would be ending soon and we would be the ones living life without him.
Here is how Stevie sounded on a V with Chris Layton playing the couch.
I do miss Stevie. Loved his songs/playing/voice. But I am also a heretic - never could stand his tone. I know, I know, but I have never understood the reverence for his sound. I just keep thinking about what he could have sounded like with a Les Paul. Man, take the ballpeen out of his hands and give him a sledge and imagine what could have happened!
I'll say it again: Thanks to all who contribute here.
This continues to be a great thread to introduce me to talents / bands I don't know (Im really digging Samantha Fish) and / or hear more of some that I do, but dont know a lot of their discography, most recently UFO. I just burned Phenomenon to CD and it will go in the commute / study deck soon.
OR to revisit / re-listen as a guitar player (?) a lot of work I am some or very familiar with as a music listener.
THin Lizzy The Cowboy song: I know the song a bit having heard the record back in the day.
Now, I am focusing on digesting the guitar tones, as well as the arrangements / riffage, etc.
It is a part of what inspires me to pick up my guitar and play.
Not only is that one of the best hard rock albums ever, it is also one of the best live albums in the world, regardless of style. If you are digging UFO, do yourself a favor and immediately purchase this:
